What Is Responsible Gaming?
Responsible Gaming means enjoying betting as a controlled form of entertainment — where you decide how much time and money to spend, and you stick to that decision. For many, Sports Betting is a fun hobby. Adding a little excitement when supporting your favorite team in a cricket match, or placing informed bets during a cup tournament — that's what healthy betting looks like.
But problems start when betting is no longer just for fun. When you feel the urge to bet more to chase losses, when you have to hide it from family or friends, or when making ends meet at the end of the month becomes a struggle — that's when it's time to pause.
uuok 1Responsible gaming at -'s core isn't a list of rules — it's part of our fundamental philosophy. We believe a happy, informed player is better for everyone in the long run.
Signs of problem betting
Betting addiction doesn't happen overnight. It builds gradually as limits are crossed little by little. Watch out for these signs in yourself:
- Chasing losses with bigger bets
- Hiding your betting from family or friends
- Spending more time or money than you intended
- Returning repeatedly despite trying to stop
- Taking on debt to fund betting
- Feeling restless or low when not betting
- Unable to focus on anything else while playing
- Needing more excitement after a win
- Betting to relieve stress or anxiety
- Anger or low mood after a loss
Experiencing these signs isn't a sign of weakness — it's a sign of self-awareness. Asking for help takes courage. uuok 1Contact the support team or activate the self-exclusion feature.
7 Golden Rules for Safe Betting
Building responsible gaming habits means following a few simple but effective guidelines. Stick to these and betting will always stay an enjoyable experience:
- Set your budget in advance: Set aside a fixed amount for betting at the start of each month. Don't go beyond that budget — whether you're on a winning streak or a losing one.
- Don't chase your losses: "Just one more bet and I'll win it back" — that's the most dangerous mindset. If you lose, accept it and stop.
- Stick to time limits: Decide in advance how long you'll play each day. Set an alarm or use our built-in timer feature.
- Don't bet on impulse: Placing a big bet in anger after your favourite team loses, or getting carried away with excitement after a win — both carry real risk.
- Don't treat betting as a source of income: Consistent profits from betting over the long term are not realistic. It's entertainment, nothing more.
- Let your family know: Transparency reduces the risk of problems developing. If you find yourself hiding things from family, that's a warning sign.
- Take regular breaks: Take at least one full day off from betting each week. Spend that time on other hobbies or with family.
How to set limits on your account
uuok 1 Once logged in, you can set the following limits directly from your account settings. The process is straightforward and takes just a few minutes.
Deposit limit
Go to Account Settings > Responsible Gaming > Deposit Limit to set your daily, weekly, or monthly limit. Lowering your limit takes effect immediately; raising it requires a 24-hour waiting period — a rule in place to protect you.
Session Timer
Set a maximum session duration. Once the time is up, you'll be logged out automatically and won't be able to log back in until the next day.
Cooling-Off Period
You can take a cooling-off period of 1 day to 6 weeks, during which your account will be temporarily deactivated. It works similarly to self-exclusion, but for a shorter duration.
Permanent Self-Exclusion
If you feel you need a longer break, you can set a permanent self-exclusion lasting from 6 months up to 5 years. During this period, your account cannot be reactivated and no marketing messages will be sent.
Information for Family & Loved Ones
If someone you know — a family member or friend — is struggling with betting, you can help. Start by approaching the conversation with empathy rather than blame. Saying "I'm worried about you" tends to go much further than "You're betting too much."
Betting addiction is a mental health condition — not a lack of willpower. Seeking professional help is the most effective way to address it.
uuok 1Using third-party protection features, you can request that limits be applied to a family member's account. To do so, contact us at support@uuok1.ws.
